The Louisiana Department of Education has a special financial program called the Child Care Assistance Program, it normally pays for low income families to help pay for their children to attend early learning centers while they work. The LA DOE made it available to essential workers to include health care workers, and it has been extended through the month of May and has been approved for 3800 children.
